Velicescu disrupts everyday topography via careful composition to develop an elegant and humorous narrative to tell the story of place.

Photographer Sinziana Velicescu
hosts the virtual tour.

Sinziana Velicescu is an award winning photographer and filmmaker based in Los Angeles, California. She is a graduate of the University of Southern California with a B.A. in Comparative Literature and Film. Her photography explores human intervention with nature in landscapes that have undergone political, social, or environmental change. Appropriating architectural vocabulary, Velicescu disrupts everyday topography via careful composition to develop an elegant and humorous narrative to tell the story of place. Velicescu’s clients have included Samsung, Volvo, Swatch, Maison Margiela, BCBG, and Palm Springs Art Museum. Her work has been featured in publications such as Wired, Vice, Los Angeles Times, Juxtapoz, The Daily Beast, and iGNANT. In 2006, Photo Boite named her one of the 30 Female Photographers Under 30 To Watch.
